About Me

My name is Jack Levine. I am a passionate student filmmaker and designer.

I am a junior Tulane University Deans’ Honor Award recipient pursuing a double major in Architecture and Digital Media Practices. Between Architecture and Filmmaking, I find joy in the intersection of these two diverse disciplines. In the Fall semester of 2023, I studied at FAMU in Prague, a prominent film school in Europe, working on many short films and developing my own stories.

Fueled by a love for storytelling, I am deeply involved in all facets of filmmaking, with a keen focus on directing and producing. Recently, I have taken on the role of Director of Photography for “The Box”, a film I co-wrote, immersing myself in the visual language of cinema.

My background in architecture adds a unique dimension to my filmmaking journey. I am particularly drawn to the intricacies of production design and art direction, where my architectural insights seamlessly blend with the artistry of filmmaking.

Beyond my academic pursuits, I'm also the founder of JLDC, my creative haven where I explore the realms of filmmaking, photography, motion graphics, and design of all shapes and colors. Previous experiences in graphic design have shaped my understanding of visual communication, and now, I'm excited to bring these skills into the dynamic world of film.

I'm on the lookout for meaningful connections and opportunities to further enrich my journey. If you share a passion for filmmaking, have insights to offer, or know of exciting opportunities—especially related to summer internships or production assistant roles—I'd love to connect.

Let's collaborate, create, and explore the boundless possibilities that the world of film and design has to offer. Feel free to reach out, and let's make magic together!
