This film is a culmination of personal realization and documentary research for Kansas City homeless outreach organization Artists Helping the Homeless and its founder Kar Woo. I have made multiple documentary short films about the organization and its founder over a period of three-years. This project combines the collaboration and a narrative philosophical story that demonstrates my personal journey through the collaboration. This film helped me receive the Tulane Deans’ Honor Scholarship.

I created the opening credits for this film which is inspired by the comic book of the same title by Kurt Amacker. I used the illustrations of the comic book, by Karl Slominski, animating them with Adobe After Effects, also utilizing Photoshop and Illustrator.

I created the opening animatic sequence for this film. The animated segment is inspired by Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I made the animations along side the prop book used in the film, aged to look ancient and mythical.
